Size: 3-4mm
This little guy was found flirting over the leaf litter during the early afternoon hours on a hot day. It was moving more like a fly (short hurried erratic movements) rather than the smoother moves of a wasp. Unsure as to whether it has two or one set of wings.

Nomada female in the ruficornis species group
resembles Nomada lehighensis (which has been confused with N. valida)

I thought
I would find it in Nomadinae (Cuckoo Bees), but so far no luck.
