Stone Centipede - Lithobius forficatus

Stone Centipede - Lithobius forficatus
Cross Plains, Dane County, Wisconsin, USA
April 2, 2012
Finally found one that remained still long enough for me to take some photos. Usually they scurry off into the leaves before I can even get the camera set. I would estimate the size to be around 35mm.

Moved
Moved from Stone Centipedes.

Lithobius forficatus
A common lithobiomorph throughout North America. Based on the size and triangular projections on segments 9, 11, 13.
