Surprisingly, it looks alot like an Anthaxia that I got here in TN this summer. Rick is looking at them but I doubt it is the same as this one from CA.

Anthaxia (Haplanthaxia) caseyi caseyi Obenberger
This one is a male Anthaxia (Haplanthaxia) caseyi caseyi if the face is bright green. Rick said that it is a little duller than normal and he has seen some greenish females of these.

I do recall it
being a lot brighter green when I caught it. Chilling must have darkened it up. The underside of the abdomen was a bright metallic green. Thanks Joshua.
