Lepidoptera - Doryodes

Lepidoptera - Doryodes
San Leon, Galveston County, Texas, USA
April 9, 2012
Noctuidae, Doryodes sp. Either bistrialis or spadaria which also occurs in my area and you have no pics. of. At light.

Doryodes broui?
D. bistrialis "has only been recorded in North Carolina, Mississippi and Florida, and it follows the distribution of the presumed foodplant, Aristida stricta.”(1)

D. spadaria ranges from Quebec to Florida.(1)

Based on location, this would be D. broui, reineckei, or tenuistriga.(1) I lean toward D. broui. D. tenuistriga has a narrower stripe. D. reineckei has a stripe contrasting less with the ground color. Size would help.

Moved from ID Request.

possibly D. bistrialis with the stronger contrasting forewing, but will do some checking.

San Leon is where my father grew up.
Thanks
