Ocyptamus antiphates
This is Ocyptamus antiphates which can be found in Florida according to a reference on Systema Dipterorum. The specimen keys out to this in a key to Ocyptamus and it seems this species has a great deal of variation in color.

Breathless...
You have perfected insect photography.

Diane...
I Thank you for your generous compliment, however, I do not concur.
You either have a magic monitor or its time for me to upgrade my equipment. Sincerely appreciate the kind words...

I don't have a magic monitor,
I don't have a magic monitor, but these are very nice pictures - both for ID purposes and for the very nice clarity and composition! I'm envious of your shots!

Thank you Kelsey...
Much appreciation for the nice compliments.
Just keep shootin. It becomes sort of an obsession.
