Giant Katydid - Stilpnochlora couloniana - Male

Size: 80 mm
About 8 cm long. Based on the size and general appearance I think it might be the Giant Katydid, but the Key to Katydids leads me away from the false katydid subfamily that contains this genus (if I'm correctly interpreting "tympana on foretibia behind slitlike opening"), so I'm confused. I would appreciate a more expert opinion. Eric? Anyone?

Giant katydid indeed:-)
Sure looks like a species of Stilpnochlora to me. We reared a South American species at the Cincinnati Zoo when I worked there, and they look nearly identical to this specimen.
