Blow Fly

Blow Fly
Near Ruraldale, Upshur County, West Virginia, USA
March 22, 2005
Given its location on a deer carcass, and its green metallic coloration, I am thinking Calliphoridae, is that right?

Anyone who can take it to genus please let me know.

cf Eudasyphora
cf Eudasyphora. This isn't Phormia regina.

Thank-you
Thank-you v, and thank-you Dr. Whitworth. It is great (and unexpected) to receive a species ID after four years, a pleasant surprise!

well...
first, the pleasure is all mine [dunno about Terry W.]; second, BG is an ocean of stuff that cries for attention, while indenturing experts to meet all of our specific needs takes quite a bit of time.
the important thing is, the names are dripping in.
