Plasterer bee? - Halictus rubicundus
Oak Hammock Marsh, aprox 30 km's north of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada
April 14, 2012
Size: 10-12 mm's
Found on a damp mud flat surrounded by medium-height grasses. Observed several individuals digging holes in early evening, presumably to spend the night. Would these be Colletes and if so, can they be identified to species?
