Black and red jumping spider - Phidippus johnsoni

Black and red jumping spider - Phidippus johnsoni
Cowichan Valley, British Columbia, Canada
April 15, 2012
Size: ~12-15mm body length
I found this colorful spider near a window. I haven't seen one with such bold red or bright fangs before! Could this be a female Phidippus borealis?

Moved to Phidippus johnsoni
From Rod Crawford: 630213 is likely P. johnsonii. Slight possibility of clarus. Not likely to be borealis on Vancouver Island.

Moved from Phidippus.
