ID question
Did I miss where the species ID was made? Nevermind, it's in a forum instead of the image.

Moved from Lygus bugs.

Maybe Deraeocoris
This may be Deraeocoris, rather than Lygus, although without inspection of tarsal claws, scent glands, etc. we're guessing.

Here are my reasons: On Deraeocoris, the jugum and tylus extend anteriorly beyond the eyes, while in Lygus, this part of the head is angled downward. In other words, Deraeocoris has a pointier head than Lygus.

Second, some species of Deraeocoris have pronounced, shiny, paired calli on the anterior portion of the pronotum, while Lygus (and its near relatives) have the pronotum relatively smooth and uniform.

Third, there's just something about the texture of the wings and pronotum that looks "greasier" than Lygus.

Again, without access to the "key characters" that distinguish mirid genera, it's guessing.

Now I have this as Deraeocori
Now I have this as Deraeocoris quercicola

I agree!
^^

Probably Lygus sp.
This is probably a species in the genus Lygus.
