Size: 2.0mm
Landed on my shirt, mid day. The size and the elytral setae turned me to Sc*ymnus. Did not run it through either
of the keys Abigail noted in a post. Will try to print them out one of these days. After reviewing the FL Checklist,
I am going to guess S. rubricaudus. Abigail, your up! Please correct or confirm. Tks.

S. fraternus or S. louisianae, not sure which
The triangular depression in the first abdominal sternum rules out S. rubricaudus, and the only Floridian species w/ that feature that also match the rest of this beetle's appearance are S. fraternus and S. louisianae. Unfortunately, they can only be told apart by the male genitalia.
