Carpenter Ant (Camponotus sp.) - male
One of the large species of the Camponotus subgenus. Either C. pennsylvanicus or C. chromaiodes. Both are impossible to tell apart unless by close examination of the genitalia - or being seen mating with a female counterpart.

Thanks,
Richard, I appreciate that info!

It is an ant... possibly carp
It looks to be an ant but hard to see the tips of the antennae or the abdomen... possibly carpenter. Usually only have wings for reproduction and these guys are everywhere right now.
