Identification

Sexually dimorphic.

♂ hindwing is yellowish brown

♀ hindwing is dark brown

Range

Ontario to Florida, and west to eastern Texas. (4), (3), (5), (6)

Adults are most often reported from May to August. (3),

Heppner reports February to September in Florida. (6)

Food

Larval host is basswood, (Tilia sp). (Tiliaceae). (6)
