Twilight Moth - Lycia rachelae - male

Twilight Moth - Lycia rachelae - Male
Calgary, SW, Alberta, Canada
April 26, 2012
Gary Anweiler ID'd this moth for me. I have to admit, I wasn't expecting it to be a Geometrid. I understand that this moth would normally finish it's flight before full darkness. I did put the light trap out well before sunset so perhaps that is the trick. Either way, I'm very pleased that it found it's way into my trap.
