says Dr J.D. Pinto:
"These trifasciate Pyrota, especially those from S. Texas, are difficult to identify from photographs. One character for example, whether the apical fascia is separated from the elytral margin or not can almost never be seen. Pygidial and sternal characters as well as tibial spurs can't be viewed either. For this photo - possibilities are P. fasciata, P. concinna and P. palpalis (although Hidalgo Co. is a little out of the documented range of palpalis)."
