Flatoidinus punctatus

Flatoidinus punctatus
Grand Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve/ Grand Bay National Wildlife Refuge, Jackson County, Mississippi, USA
May 9, 2006
Size: ~ 10 mm
Thought at first this was a moth. Can someone give me some help with the species ID? I can't find much information on this genus. Most of the species seem to be tropical.

Flatoidinus punctatus
The head is not so long as in F. acutus.

Thanks!
Thanks for identification! I've added a guide page for this species. Could you add anything you might know about it's range, habitat, etc.?
