Possibly Pygarctia neomexicana ? - Pygarctia neomexicana
Midland County, Texas, USA
April 11, 2012
The reason I think it could be is because I photographed this moth the night after I did photograph Pygarctia neomexicana, same place about same time, the white fringe on wing, red marks on back and silky soft looking wings. He never opened his wings so I did not see body and I did not monkey with him. Sorry I did not notice hitchhiker, I was looking into bright light. Thank you
