on doormat outside basement door the morning of may 4th 2012. i expected to be able to discern the type of spider by it's markings/color(s) and the way that it kept it's two anterior-most legs on each side together (like the vulcan hand gesture). i was, however, unable to find anything ...

any responses would be greatly appreciated.

thank you!
