Leaf roller on arrowwood, Viburnum dentatum. Caterpillar 13. 5/5/12 - Acleris viburnana
I found about ten of these leaf rollers inside the folded leaves of arrowwood (
Viburnum dentatum). They accumulate quite a bit of frass inside their refuges.
These guys are hard to ID, so I hope to get at least one adult to find out what they are.
Update: It is probably
Acleris schalleriana but the only way to be absolutely certain would be by dissecting the genitalia.
Some of them are parasitized and one of the parasites is coming along
