based on my microscopic examination of this female specimen which is now a photo-voucher in the P.W.Messer collection. Thanks Tom.
This small (measured 6.5 mm) northeastern
Brachinus
is characterized by proportionately short elytra with sloped humerus and lateral border arcuate to apex.
