Near Troy, ID, Latah County, Idaho, USA

Size: 25 mm
Found resting on snowberry stem about 6:40 pm. Temperature 45°F. I have seen this species for several weeks but only in flight. This is a ventral view, new to me.

Anthocharis julia sulfuris
Not too far from the TL of Anthocharis julia sulfuris from Kellogg, Shoshone County, ID. Ssp. stella was described from the Lake Tahoe region of California/Nevada.

What a Beautiful Shot
of an Absolutely Beautiful Butterfly! As distinctive as it is, I think David should field this one. He can tell you everything about it. BTW this will be a 1st for Idaho.
