Cryptocephalinae - Case-bearing Leaf Beetles? - Griburius scutellaris

Cryptocephalinae - Case-bearing Leaf Beetles? - Griburius scutellaris
Lenexa, Johnson County, Kansas, USA
May 6, 2012
Found it in a tallgrass prairie remnant on bush clover. I tried to collect it, but unlike most leaf beetles that just fall off a leaf when disturbed, this one flew away!It looks like it might be a bee/wasp mimic?

Moved tentatively; good-looking bug...
Moved from ID Request.

Thanks
