Hangingfly? - Bittacus strigosus - Female
Harms Woods Forest Preserve, Glenview, Cook County, Illinois, USA
July 6, 2006
Size: ~15mm
Many of these flying through the woods as we walked. We're guessing this is Bittacus. Can anyone help with the species ID?

sex and tentative ID
Appears to be a female Bittacus strigosus.
