Willow stem galls

Willow stem galls
Hyla Park, Fredericton, York County, New Brunswick, Canada

Size: 1-1.5 cm
Found these stem galls on a small willow on 6 May and returned to collect them the next day. Cut open they revealed small yellowish larvae approx. 2 mm long, with several other chambers visible.
