damsel - Argia tibialis - Female
Woodbridge County, Virginia, USA
July 14, 2006
Size: Well over an inch
This one stumps me. My first thought was Orange Bluet, but the shoulder stripes are too wide, and segment 9 is mostly dark. On the Orange Bluet, it should be entirely orange. Furthermore, the color was more red in the field (the image looks orangier) than the Orange Bluets I'm used to seeing. Looks more like a Scarlet Bluet, but we are out of its range. Suggestions?

We would say same as the other
