Click Beetle - Ligmargus

Click Beetle - Ligmargus
Bend, Deschutes County, Oregon, USA
May 7, 2012
Size: 10 mm
This click beetle was found in semi to arid conditions in central Oregon. I tried to match it up with others. However this one has a narrower head....
Any ID would be helpful as this beetle will help explain a part of what is happening in the ecology of what is called the Badlands 17 miles east of Bend OR.
Thanks,
Jake Hurlbert pnwma1@frontier.com

Elateridae
start in Prosternini; probably a Selatosomus. I will look around more but doubt I'll be able to do more with this image.

looks quiite Selatosomus-y indeed
