Adult flies (but mostly parasitoid wasps) began emerging the end of April 2012 and on into May 2012.
Raymond Gagne's red book, The Plant-Feeding Gall Midges of North America, page 229, lists a Mirabilis stem gall as Neolasioptera sp.
