crustacean eating ant - Leptogenys elongata

crustacean eating ant - Leptogenys elongata
Austin, Ladybird Johnson Wildflower Center, Travis County, Texas, USA
May 10, 2012
Size: about 9-10mm
This ant was working very hard to carry the pillbug up a stone wall. I've seen this species before but could never ID it; this time I just HAD to know what kind of ant wants to eat crustaceans. A dark and drizzly morning made for rather poor photography, but there are no other pics of a worker in the guide so far.
