Brachinus janthinipennis (Dejean)
based on my microscopic examination of this specimen which is now a photo-voucher in the P.W.Messer collection. Thanks Tom.

This widespread Brachinus species is characterized by venter completely pale. Most other Brachinus have at least some ventral portions dark.
