Locality
Tom, what was the habitat like and where/how did you collect this specimen?

Habitat
This was in the thin grass with sandy soil at a water pumping station where Dick Walton took me to find some jumping spiders.

Moved
Moved from Steatoda borealis. Cool.

Gosh dang it ...
I was right in the middle of guessing that! =] Nice one.

A very interesting specimen..
A very interesting specimen... although you can't see it here, it has a folium (leaf-like pattern on the dorsum). So, even though you can see just a bit of a longitudinal white line anterior on the dorsum, it's not in the genus Steatoda.

Wanna take a guess? :-) Here's a hint: Levi 1957a has it (and new BG species).

Moved
Moved from Spiders.
That looks like a good choice. Steatoda borealis are common around here.

Steatoda borealis?
It looks like Steatoda borealis to me.
