Small Beetle - Phaedon desotonis

Small Beetle - Phaedon desotonis
Henryetta , Okmulgee County, Oklahoma, USA
May 14, 2012
Size: aprox. 5mm
Found on My much nibbled lance leaved coreopsis.

Shawn Clark says that this is...
"...likely the species that people in recent years have been calling P. desotonis. However, there is some evidence that this identification is not correct. The beetles may be some foreign species recently adventive to North America."

so, for now i'm placing it with the other images ID'd as P. desotonis, subject to potential updates. =v=
