Xystodesmidae - I think - Harpaphe haydeniana

Xystodesmidae - I think - Harpaphe haydeniana
Healsdburg, Napa County, California, USA
May 13, 2012
Size: 3 inches
Photographed in Armstrong Redwoods Perserve - midday. Along the side of a trail in some leaf litter.
About 3" long - sorry, I did not have my ruler in my bag.

Moved
Moved from Xystodesmidae.
The only species of Harpaphe known south of Mendocino is H. haydeniana.

Moved
Moved from Millipedes.

Cropped and moved for expert attention.
Moved from ID Request.

I took the liberty of cropping your pic. Only you and the experts can see the full-size image. Everyone else is left looking at a little millipede in a lot of unnecessary background. :)

Welcome to BugGuide!

Thanks
Thanks for the assist Ken. Some day I'll talk my wife into a good macro lens
