June 30
It look like June 30 was a great day for bug photography for you. How did you get so many? I envy you and congratulate you.

Too many pictures:-)
I was in the field all day, and had 2 cameras with me, one with the macro lens, and the other with a telephoto for the things I couldn't get close to. Now I'm still trying to catch up on my pictures from that vacation. I took over 2,000 pictures on the 10 day California trip.

ID
Looks like Dasyfidonia avuncularia in the Ennominae subfamily of the Geometridae.

Thanks John
I'm from the east, so these western species are all new for me. It's nice having help on the ID's from someone who's seen them before.
