Too many pictures:-)
I was in the field all day, and had 2 cameras with me, one with the macro lens, and the other with a telephoto for the things I couldn't get close to. Now I'm still trying to catch up on my pictures from that vacation. I took over 2,000 pictures on the 10 day California trip.

Looks like Dasyfidonia avuncularia in the Ennominae subfamily of the Geometridae.
