Small Black Fly - Reticulitermes

Small Black Fly - Reticulitermes
Gambrills , Anne Arundel County, Maryland, USA
May 16, 2012
Size: 4 mm (body)
Ephemeral. Many flying around during the day, many lying dead by early evening. I am including the admittedly poor ventral view in hopes that the shape and segmentation of the abdomen may help in identifying.

OK, Agreed
This species: http://bugguide.net/node/view/332905. I had not realized they were so ephemeral. Not prevalent on Tuesday, out in force on Wednesday, dead by Wednesday afternoon.

Thanks to all!

Termite?
