Androloma disparata is also possible in Big Bend. (Knudson) The wings are slightly more elongated in A. disparata and it is difficult to be sure from these photos

Eight-spotted forester maybe
the orange tufts and white spots make me think it is this species. Here is a link http://bugguide.net/node/view/485 but wait for an expert if you need the ID to be perfect.
