Some beetles for V - Arhopalus rusticus

Some beetles for V - Arhopalus rusticus
Marathon, Brewster County, Texas, USA
April 26, 2012
(so you know we didn't completely forget you in our lep madness!)

Dan Heffern: "A. rusticus montanus, no doubt in my mind."
Moved from Arhopalus rusticus.

Two species...
...of Arhopalus (asperatus and rusticus montanus) have been recorded from west Texas. I suspect this is the latter but don't have a sufficiently detailed view of the pronotum to say for sure.

you see, beetles leave moths alone and avoid physical contact
that's the way to behave. i wish more moths were exposed to such model behaviour and could learn.
Moved from ID Request.
