I wonder if you will note that there is no way in the keys to distinguish between this species and Oc. tormentor. The reason I know it is Oc. atlanticus is because tormentor does not occur in south Florida.

You can tell them apart in the larval stage, but not as adults.
There are some Anopheles like that as well.
