Nice Geometrid - Glena quinquelinearia - male

Nice Geometrid - Glena quinquelinearia - Male
Marathon, Brewster County, Texas, USA
April 26, 2012

Moved from Ennominae. Thanks

Jane and John, I think this is . They are pretty common in our area.

Moved from Moths.

A suggestion
I think that what I posted here is a shabby edition of this moth. My initial guess for mine has been Brown Bark Carpet Moth but it clearly was wrong, and no other ID has been proposed. My search has now led me to #6452 Glena plumosaria as a real possibility. Perhaps some expert will look into it. Anyway, your Nice Geometrid may be closer to finding a home as well.

It may take some time
There are about 600 unidentified Geometrids plus another 250 unidentified Ennominae, so it may be a while.

Moved from ID Request.
