Size: ~15 mm
One of many in a very confined area adjacent to the trail. Over 6,500 ft. elevation; habitat mostly grassland with yucca, juniper.

Moved tentatively based on the following John Pinto's comment:
"If maxillary palpi are enlarged as they seem to be - this would be Epicauta maculata (Say)."
