mayfly nymph - Drunella doddsii
Sierra City, Sierra County, California, USA
July 1, 2006

Moved
Moved from Drunella.

W. green drake
One of the Western green drake nymphs. The little shelf at the front of the head and femurs of about equal width are typical of Drunella doddsii.

Moved
Moved from Stream Mayflies.

Heptageniidae
A heptageniid. Not sure of the western genera.

Ephemerellidae: Drunella
I believe this is a species of Drunella (Ephemerellidae). Not sure of the species, however. It could be D. doddsi, but it isn't possible to tell without a ventral view of the abdomen.
