Rhopalid
This is a member of the Rhopalidae, probably Arhyssus.

A close specimen is at http://cedarcreek.umn.edu/insects/newslides/020006002001apd.jpg

There are 15 spp. listed at http://animaldiversity.ummz.umich.edu/site/accounts/classification/Arhyssus.html#Arhyssus

Scentless Plant Bug
The Cedar Creek bug does look very close. Thanks Jim.

Not Miridae.
This is not a mirid. Might be in the Lygaeoidea, Rhopalidae, or Coreidae. Sorry I can't narrow it further:-( Note short, thick antennae, no cuneus.
