Larger wolf spider, likely Schizocosa? Found in front of a depression/burrow in the garden behind the house after dark.

Some species of Hogna were moved to a new genus, Tigrosa.

I don't know. It doesn't strike me as Schizocosa. What do you think of a juvenile Hogna?

I had wondered about that...
but the dorsal pattern on the abdomen looked like a lot of the Schizocosa photos I've seen. That light line down the carapace is very Hogna-like though. Do any Hogna species have that V pattern on the abdomen?
