White Furcula - Furcula modesta

White Furcula - Furcula modesta
Lakewood, Oconto County, Wisconsin, USA
July 17, 2006
A little brown...white and black

Moved
Moved from White Furcula.

Furcula modesta
See Modest Furcula "See Also" section for characters that distinguish modesta from other species (and click the link there that compares images of 5 species).

Appears to be White Furcula
Notodontidae - Furcula borealis. The background may be reflecting onto the outer margin of the forewing, giving it a yellowish tinge and overlaying the black dotted anal angle. The patterns are often slightly variable. There is a very nice lady who lives in Door County. She could be a lot of help with identification. Send a private message and I'll tell you how to contact her.
