freshly emerged Eastern Tiger Swallowtail? -
Papilio canadensis
Fairfield, Somerset County, Maine, USA
May 27, 2012
I found this, apparently, just emerged in the lawn. I moved it to keep it from being mowed...
about 45 minutes later it was flying all around...

Canadian Tiger Swallowtail (Papilio canadensis)
Underneath the forewing, the yellow marginal band is continuous in the Canadian Tiger, and broken up into spots in the Eastern Tiger.
