Acrocera?
I'm not convinced that these are Ogcodes. They look more like the genus Acrocera, possibly A. convexa. The wing venation is needed to be sure as to genus.

Ogcodes
I've changed my mind after reviewing the picture on my home computer and come to the conclusion that this indeed Ogcodes. With male being all orange with white fasciae and the darker female, this should be Ogcodes dispar.

Yes, Ogcodes indeed!
If you zoom in (in your browser), you can see that the orange (male?) on top has its antennae positioned low on the head as in
Ogcodes
(as opposed to high on the head as in
Acrocera
).
BTW, note the very conspicuous sexual dimorphism in body color!

thanks
thank you very much Mr. Young... anything helps, as my knowledge of flies, other than some of the robbers, is sad at best, and i had no idea what these two were.

Great Find!
These are not terribly common insects. As larvae they are parasites of spiders, and the life history is fascinating.
