Other lygaeoids may look similar...
and this looks like Oedancala dorsalis, a member of the Pachygronthidae.

So close and yet so far. :)

Not a plant bug (Miridae)
I was thinking something in Rhyparochromidae, but I'm not finding a good match, so maybe I'm off base. Others will know.

I'd never heard of a seed bug.... I'll look around there.
