unknown moth from New Brunswick - Sparganothis violaceana
New England Settlement, York County, New Brunswick, Canada
May 24, 2012
Size: 0.5 in
This moth is the subject of a discussion on the moth section of BirdingNB: here. Despite extensive review of BG, MPG and book sources, no one has been able to id it. One person (Chris Adam) suspects that it is in the Tortricidae: Tortricinae - Sparganothidini.

Sparganothis violaceana
That's Sparganothis violaceana. They feed on blueberry and are local and uncommon in acidic wetlands. I've only collected them a couple times in 10 years of collecting in Pennsylvania. Very good moth, and this one is in excellent condition!
