Looks like a carpenter bee, Xylocopa virginica.

This is Bombus bimaculatus, a Bumble bee

could it be a dark form of Bombus rufocinctus?

It sure does look like bimaculatus, but that's very far NW for that species!

I didn`t see the size. Carrpenter bees are huge!

It is definitely not a Carpenter bee, the abdomen is too fuzzy, and the head is not large enough. Its a bumble bee
