Paraclunio alaskensis?
I wonder if this is Paraclunio alaskensis (now Thalassomyia, I think; I'll have to check). It is a marine species but a good flyer. How far from the ocean are you?

Yes. mostly pretty similar to this angle of view...
...some of a slightly more dorsal vantage. I could post some closer crops of various structures.
